This place rocks! My rating is a 4.5 stars it would be a 5 star but the size of the establishment, quarters are pretty cramped, and the language barrier dropped it half a star.
In terms of the food, one word, "damn!" What a feast. We had the chicken special nothing short of amazing. Such good flavors, served steaming fresh as it is cooked right before your eyes and nose. A great selection of sides/condiments, make for a delicious experience. The rice/kimchi at the end of the meal tops off a great feast.
Best of all is the price. I think it was somewhere around $25 per person with drinks, beers and gratuity included. Amazing!
Y'all have to try this place. Come hungry. It's a great community meal, so bring friends. Hint: it helps to have a Korean speaker in the group. No offense, just saying...
We'll be back for sure! -

I had dak-galbi for the first time when I was in Seoul. It was so delicious that I had to find a version of it in Los Angeles! Found this place on Yelp and while it wasn't exactly like the version I had in Seoul, this was a pretty close second.
The menu is pretty basically, and for six people our server told us to order four orders of chicken galbi. It comes with veggies and rice cakes and we got orders of noodles (udon) and cheese (cheese gets sprinkled on top.
The chicken was delicious and pretty spicy, although I'm sure for K-town regulars, it wasn't that spicy. At the end of the meal, you are served kimchi fried rice (also delicious).
Overall the food was great; it's a tiny mom and pop shop, so get there early. Only four stars since it was a bit hard to communicate - but we eventually figured everything out and it was definitely worth it! -

Food is good, this review is simply for the service.
Generally, I've never had any issues but I came in with my parents and my cousin. Let me give you some background. My dad, cousin, and mom put together probably weigh less than 400 lbs. They collectively can eat about 1.5 people's worth of food.
So the minimum order is 2, which can honestly feed 4-5 people with a small appetite.
So I said we would get the Dak Gal Bi and she said "3 or 4 orders?" I told her two because between that, the extra toppings, and the banchan, it would be more then enough. She looks at me and with absolute disdain and disgruntlement said "OH MY GOD!" like I just walked in and she had to put out the red carpet, clean the place, wait on hand and foot and we only asked for water.
Is there a requirement of 2 orders per 2 people minimum? Because I know my family a lot better than you do lady and I know how much they can eat.
Ergo, we actually had leftovers after "ONLY" ordering 2 orders.
Some advice to the lady and owners, don't tell your customers how much they should be eating, if you want a minimum order by person, then make that the rule and state it, otherwise, let your customer choose how much they think they want.
Good food, bad attitude. -

Delicious spicy chicken. I did like the rice mixed at the end best though. The server will cook everything for you so you can enjoy it without having to worry about undercooked or burnt chicken.

I will crave this place until I go back. You have to write your name on the wall and wait for a table to free up but it is worth the wait. There are not many options of food but if your adventurous you just name a proteins and wait for the magic to happen. The food is cooked at your table. You can help cook as well as the waitress comes by adding things to your bowl. She also lets you know when it's ready. You can chose the spice level so don't worry too much.
